Person-centred counsellor
My name is Lisa and I am a person-centred counsellor with experience working with clients who are struggling with a wide range of issues. I believe everyone deserves to be heard, accepted and listened to and I provide a safe and confidential space where people can come to feel heard and understood. I love working with people to help improve their self-esteem, their understanding of themselves, empowering them to make changes and find peace and contentment in their lives.
It can be daunting when choosing a counsellor, especially if it’s a new experience for you. Sometimes it can be just too difficult to share with family and friends and counselling can be that place where you can unburden yourself and try to make sense of what is going on and how you are feeling. I will listen to everything you tell me fully, compassionately and completely, with no judgement and in the way that you deserve to be heard.
Areas of counselling I deal with include:
Anxiety and worry; Work-related stress; Post Traumatic Stress; Stress; Health Anxiety; Hopelessness; Trauma; Identity issues; Bereavement; Bereaved by Suicide; Sibling Loss; Loss; Relationship problems / issues; Christian faith focused therapy; Spirituality; Personal development
I work with young people aged 14 + and adults of any age.
